Paul Guillie

Camp Observer


Paul has 33 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career back in 1984 doing College Baseball. He moved into umpiring High School Baseball and quickly worked his way into the College Level.

Paul is the current Conference Coordinator of Umpires for the South Eastern Conference (SEC), Sunbelt Conference, Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Conference and the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC).

With a total of 33 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive. He has attended several camps and training sessions. Paul has worked in many conferences as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 24 years
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for 13 years
  • Sunbelt Conference for 3 years

Paul's most impressive umpiring experience is that he has had the privilege and honor to work the NCAA Division I College World Series in Omaha four times (2001, 2004, 2006, 2010).

Paul has umpired 14 Division I NCAA Super Regionals and 19 Division I NCAA Regionals.

Paul has also has umpired 21 South Eastern Conference (SEC) and the Sunbelt Conference Tournament once.

Paul resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Richie Tallent

Chief Instructor and Camp Director


Richie has 37 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career in 1983 and then attended the Harry Wendelstedt Umpire School in 1984. He umpired two years in the Minor League system and then moved onto college baseball.

With a total of 36 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive. He has worked in many conferences as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 23 years
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for 19 years
  • Southern Conference (SoCon) for 15 years
  • Big South Conference for 15 years
  • American Athletic Conference (AAC) for 5 years
  • Atlantic Sun Conference for 2 years

Richie has also umpired NCAA Regionals at both the Division I and Division II Levels and he also umpired the NCAA Division II World Series.

Richie is the owner of the Atlantic Coast Umpire's Association.

Richie resides in Lexington, South Carolina.

Barry Chambers

Assistant Chief Instructor and Assistant Camp Director


Barry has 25 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career back in 1994 doing High School Baseball. He quickly worked his way into the College Level.

With a total of 20 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive. He has attended several camps and training sessions. Barry has worked in many conferences as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 12 years
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for 12 years
  • Southern Conference (SoCon) for 19 years
  • Big South Conference for 19 years
  • Peach Belt Conference (PBC) for 12 years

Barry's most impressive umpiring experience happened this past year (2018) and in 2015 when he was privileged and honored to work the NCAA Division I College World Series in Omaha. In addition to this huge achievement and accomplishment Barry has worked five Division I NCAA Super Regionals and 11 Division I NCAA Regionals.

Barry has also umpired six NCAA Division II Regionals and in 2004 he also umpired the NCAA Division II World Series.

Barry has also has umpired Tournaments in the South Eastern Conference (SEC); Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC); Southern Conference (SoCon); Big South Conference and the Peach Belt Conference.

Barry is a member of the Atlantic Coast Umpires Association and the Capitol City Umpires Association.

Barry resides in Little Mountain, South Carolina.

Randy Harvey

Camp Instructor


Randy has 32 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career back in 1985 doing Little League Baseball. He moved into umpiring High School Baseball and rapidly worked his way into the College Level and some of the highest conferences in the Nation.

With a total of 24 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive and impressive. He has attended several camps and training sessions. Randy has worked in many conferences over the years as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 16 years
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for 15 years
  • Sunbelt Conference for 10 years
  • Atlantic Sun (A-Sun) Conference for 11 years
  • Conference USA for 2 years

Randy's most impressive umpiring experience is that he has had the privilege and honor to work the NCAA Division I College World Series in Omaha in 2006.

Randy has umpired 13 Division I NCAA Super Regionals and 13 Division I NCAA Regionals.

He also umpired the NCAA Division II World Series

Randy has also has umpired conference tournaments in the South Eastern Conference (SEC); Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC); and Sun Belt Conference.

Randy resides in Sanford, Florida.

Darrell Arnold

Darrell has 31 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career back in 1987 doing Little League Baseball. He moved into umpiring High School Baseball and quickly worked his way into the College Level.

With a total of 28 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive. He has attended several camps and training sessions. Darrell has worked in many conferences as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 18 years
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for 16 years
  • Southern Conference (SoCon) for 17 years
  • Atlantic Sun (A-Sun) Conference for 9 years

Darrell has umpired four Division I NCAA Super Regionals and 18 Division I NCAA Regionals.

Darrell has also has umpired the South Eastern Conference (SEC) Tournament; three Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Tournaments; and 15 Southern Conference (SoCon) Tournaments.

Darrell is the President of the Tennessee Collegiate Umpires Association (TCUA).

Darrell resides in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

Greg Street

Greg has 30 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career back in 1988 when he attended the Harry Wendelstedt Professional Umpire School. He moved into umpiring Minor League Baseball for nine years and quickly worked his way up. He umpired in the Gulf Coast League, the South Atlantic League, the Eastern League, the Texas League, the Arizona League and then into the AAA Level in the International League.

With a total of 15 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive. He has attended several camps and training sessions. Greg has worked in many conferences as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 13 years
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for 13 years
  • Southern Conference (SoCon) for 10 years
  • Big South Conference for 7 Years
  • Conference USA (C-USA) for 11 years
  • Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) for 4 years

Greg's most impressive umpiring experience happened in 2013, were he was privileged and honored to work the NCAA Division I College World Series in Omaha.

Greg has umpired seven Division I NCAA Super Regionals and 11 Division I NCAA Regionals.

Greg has also has umpired several Minor League Baseball tournaments. They include the South Atlantic League Tournament in 1991; the Eastern League Tournament in 1993 and the Texas League Tournament in 1994.

Greg also has umpired numerous college level tournaments, which include the Conference USA Tournament in 2005-2012; the South Eastern Conference Tournament in 2013; and the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Additionally, Greg has umpired for the Coastal Plains League, Team USA, and the World University Games in Tokyo, Japan. Greg was also an umpire evaluator in AAA from 2007-2010 and an Instructor from 2008-2010.

Greg resides in Wendell, North Carolina.

Fred Cannon

Fred has 28 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career back in 1989 when he attended the Harry Wendelstedt Professional Umpire School. He moved into umpiring Minor League Baseball for 11 years and quickly worked his way up. He umpired in the Gulf Coast League, the South Atlantic League, the Florida State League, the Texas League, the Southern League, the American Association League, and the Pacific Coast League.

With a total of 17 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive. He has attended several camps and training sessions. Fred has worked in many conferences as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 17 years
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for 9 years
  • Sunbelt Conference for 17 years

Fred has umpired two Division I NCAA Super Regionals and an impressive 11 Division I NCAA Regionals. Additionally, Fred has umpired three Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Tournaments, and 10 Sunbelt Conference Tournaments

Fred umpired post-season at each level of professional baseball and had the honor of ending his professional career as the Crew Chief of the AAA World Series where he worked the plate in the deciding game 5 in 1999.

Fred resides in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Kevin Sweeney

Kevin has 21 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career back in 1998 when he attended the Joe Brinkman Umpire School. He moved into umpiring Minor League Baseball for 9 years and quickly worked his way up. Kevin umpired in the Pioneer League (Short A), the Northwest League (Short A), the California League (A), the Eastern League (AA), the Florida Instructional League, the Texas League (AA), the Arizona Fall League, Major League Baseball Spring Training in 2005-2006, and the Pacific Coast League (AAA).

With a total of 17 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive. He has attended several camps and training sessions. Kevin has worked in many conferences as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 4 years
  • Atlantic Sun (A-SUN) Conference for 2 year
  • Big 10 Conference for 5 years
  • American Athletic Conference (AAC) for 3 years
  • Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) for 7 years
  • Big East Conference for 6 years
  • Atlantic-10 (A-10) Conference for 5 years
  • Conference USA (C-USA) for 2 years
  • Pacific-10 Conference (PAC-10) for 3 years
  • Western Athletic Conference (WAC) for 4 years
  • Mountain West Conference (MWC) for 9 years

Kevin has umpired one Division I NCAA Super Regional and six Division I NCAA Regionals. Additionally, Kevin has umpired two Southeastern (SEC) Tournaments, two Big East Conference Tournaments, three Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Tournaments, one American Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament, and one Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament.

Kevin has also umpired the 18 and under World Baseball Championship in Seoul, Korea in 2012, the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Premier 12-World Tournament in Japan and Taiwan in 2015, and has currently has been umpiring the Valley Baseball League since 2010. He also umpired multiple Minor League Baseball playoff games and championship series.

Kevin resides in Bristow, Virginia.

Scott Kennedy

Scott has 24 years of umpiring experience and training. He started his umpiring career back in 1994 with Little League Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball and some High School Baseball until 1997. That is when in 1997 he attended the Harry Wendelstedt Professional Umpire School. He moved into umpiring Minor League Baseball for 10 years and quickly worked his way up. He umpired in the Appalachian League, the South Atlantic League, the Eastern League, the Southern League, the Pacific Coast League, the Arizona Fall League, and also worked MLB Spring Training.

With a total of 12 years in College Baseball his knowledge and experiences are extensive. He has attended several camps and training sessions. He was also an Instructor at the Harry Wendelstedt Professional Umpire School from 1999-2006. Scott has worked in many conferences as follows:

  • South Eastern Conference (SEC) for 11 years
  • Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for 10 years
  • Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) for 11 years
  • Sun Belt Conference for 11 years

Scott has umpired three Division I NCAA Super Regionals and six Division I NCAA Regionals. Additionally, Scott has umpired five Southeastern (SEC) Tournaments, two Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Tournaments, one Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Tournament, and two Sunbelt Conference Tournaments.

Scott umpired the MLB Future's Game and was the Crew Chief in 2003. He also umpired multiple Minor League Baseball playoff games and championship series.

Scott resides in Louisville, Kentucky.
